Slope between two points
Formula
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Rule
The slope measures the change in y for each unit of x.
Example
(1,2) and (3,6) -> m = 4/2 = 2
Tip
Parallel lines have equal slopes; perpendicular slopes multiply to -1.
