y = ax^2 + bx + c
Rule
The graph is a parabola. If a > 0 it opens up, if a < 0 it opens down.
Example
y = x^2 - 2x - 3 has vertex (1, -4).
Tip
The vertex x-coordinate is -b / 2a.
